These fools forgot to put the gas cap back on the Lambo when one of our members filled up there yesterday.

Stupidly yes it is. NJ apparently thinks you are too dumb to pump your own gas in that state. Its 15min ordeal that should take less than 5. Meanwhile the idiots who pump your gas are rough inserting and removing the pump, lean on your car, try to top the fuel off which results in damage to the gas evaporator and your car's paint from the gas running down the side of your car. I get into arguments all the time in that state since I am from a bordering state by trying to pump my own gas. I a simply say see the plate I have pumped my gas thousands of time without incident. Stupid outdated rule.

Technically it is illegal to pump your own gas in NJ.

Yup.. NJ and Oregon are the only two states left. It is illegal if you fill it yourself.

Stick it to the man!
I'd execute that option on my crude futures and get them delivered in 55 gallon drums and start my own home-brew gasoline farm.

I hate when they top off. Sometimes they don't when you use a credit card though. Sometimes. I've never seen them lean on my car though, usually because they're busy trying to get to everyone in the long lines.
Gas in NJ is actually cheaper than surrounding states even with full serve. Plus the putting people out of work.
Self-serve is allowed with diesel, in NJ and OR.

I live in Oregon and I try to only go to the same station near my house because the guys there don't do the top off. I've had to yell at plenty of attendants because of that shit.
But yeah having grown up in rural NY this is one of my biggest gripes about the state. You would think all the Portland Enviro-hipsters would jump all over self serve gas, as if you've seen the lines of cars idling waiting for the two attendants working on a busy summer day it's mind boggling.
They managed to outlaw grocery stores using plastic bags, you would think this would have a bigger impact.

I thought Oregon had made topping off illegal. I didn't know about the plastic bags.
